2. Using this website

You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You must not misuse it by knowingly introducing viruses or other harmful material, or by attempting to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server or any connected database.

All content on this website, including the text and illustrations from A Star for Christmas Eve, the Freddie Star character, photography, logos and page copy, is owned by us or licensed to us and is protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may not reproduce, distribute or adapt it without our written permission. Retailers and stockists with an approved trade account may use supplied product imagery and copy for the purpose of selling our products.

3. Products

We take care to display our products accurately. Colours on screen may vary slightly from the finished item, and each plush is finished by hand, so small variations are normal rather than faults. Packaging may differ from the images shown.

The Freddie Star gift set has been independently safety tested and conforms to the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011. UKCA certificate number GSL20250908008-UKCA. The age grading printed on the packaging is [AGE GRADING, must match the printed box].

4. Placing an order

Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we send you a dispatch confirmation email. If we cannot fulfil your order, for example because an item is out of stock or a pricing error has occurred, we will contact you and refund any payment in full.

We may refuse or cancel an order where we reasonably suspect fraud, or where an order is placed for resale without an approved trade account.

5. Prices and payment

All prices are shown in pounds sterling and include UK VAT where applicable. Delivery costs are shown separately at checkout before you confirm your order. The total shown at checkout is the full amount payable to us.

Payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not store your full card details. If a payment is declined we may cancel the order.

For orders delivered outside the UK, any import duties, customs charges or local taxes are the responsibility of the recipient and are payable in addition to the checkout total. See the Shipping and Delivery page.

6. Delivery

Delivery options, costs and estimated timescales are shown at checkout. We will deliver without undue delay and in any event within 30 days of the contract being made, unless a different date is agreed with you.

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. If your parcel arrives damaged, or does not arrive, contact us at info@freddiestar.com and we will arrange a replacement or refund.

Full detail is on our Shipping and Delivery page, which forms part of these terms.

7. Cancellation, returns and refunds

Our full policy is on the Returns, Refunds and Cancellations page, which forms part of these terms.

In summary, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you may cancel within 14 days of receiving your order, and you then have a further 14 days to return the goods. We refund within 14 days of receiving the goods back or proof of return. You pay the cost of return postage when you have changed your mind. We pay it when the goods are faulty or incorrectly supplied.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If they are not, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund depending on the circumstances.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

8. Our liability

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and for any breach of your legal rights in relation to the products.

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for unforeseeable loss, or for business losses, as we supply products for domestic and private use.

9. Events outside our control

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, including courier disruption, extreme weather, customs delays or supply chain failure. If such an event occurs we will contact you as soon as possible, and you may cancel your order for a full refund if the delay is substantial.

10. Your personal data

We handle your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy.

11. Complaints and dispute resolution

If something has gone wrong, email info@freddiestar.com and we will do our best to put it right.

If we cannot resolve matters between us, you can seek free advice from the Citizens Advice consumer service, and you may be able to use an alternative dispute resolution service.

12. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the version published on this site at the time you placed it.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you live outside the UK, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
